WaterLovers was born from our passion for the sea.
Who we are? Riccardo and Valentina.
Life reserves many surprises and we would have never expected to come to live in Kenya, but our love for the sea and nature in general has slowly guided us into this paradise.
The inspiration has come from the vision of a very touching movie, based on the life of a reseracher studing the mountain gorillas in Uganda.
So, after many travels in places by the sea, Valentina wanted to realize her dream to see these beautiful creatures. We studied the travel trip combining Uganda with a safari in Kenya (at the Masai Mara, amazing …. who has been there can understand).
At the end of the travel, to feed our addiction to the Ocean, we had one week on the south coast of Kenya and … it was love from at first sight!
We designed, builded, trained the staff and started the resort all by ourselfes, so we can proudly say that all we got here.... is pretty much homemade!

Located on Diani Beach with panoramic ocean views, Waterlovers Beach Resort offers an outdoor pool, a restaurant and free WiFi. The resort is 35 km away from Mombasa.

The accommodation combines Swahili design with a touch of Mediterranean atmosphere. All suites have a private verandah with ocean view. The spacious villa also offers a fully equipped kitchen.

Set by the pool and overlooking the ocean, Tides Restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine with local ingredients. Cocktails and drinks can be enjoyed at Ocean Spirit, the resort's beach bar.

Activities at the resort or in the surrounding area include snorkeling, kayaking, diving, kite and windsurfing.

Waterlovers Beach Resort has a 24-hour front desk, a garden and a children's playground. Airport shuttles and bicycle rental can be arranged.

The Shimba Hills National Reserve can be reached within 30 minutes by car.
