Originally called Podere Comignoli which proof can be found in the Republic Sienese maps around the 14th Century, than called few centuries later Hospitalis Sancti et Benedicty and it was used to offer ospitality to the pelgrims that were in transit the famous Via Francigena. For unknown reasons the place is still called Spedalone which in a certain way offer Hospitalitis to the modern pelgRIMS

Personally I haven,y choose to run Spedalone but rather Spedalone choose me and this is true....
Everything we use here for food after we ate anything that is left is not thrown away but given to the animals or use to fertilize our vegetable gardens . To produce hot water we use the wood from our forest, we use water very carefully and none goes to waste, we also pride on the fact that before by anything out we always use our own products.

The possibility to combine my countryman origins with my professional career as a master on the hospitality field

Let me tell you that running a structure like this one is very laborious and tiring so the relationship that is created with our guest is the biggest and wonderful reward for all of us

My goal is to have friends of friends of past
