Situated in the middle of all the action and adventure the Black Hills have to offer, the quaint Town Hall Inn has had many different incarnations over the years. Originally constructed as Lead's town hall in 1912, the ornate building held many functions, including the mayor's and treasurer's office, court room, jail, judge's chambers and even gallows, which were directly behind the building. On top of that, the Homestake Mining Company housed their general offices in the building for nearly 50 years.

The twelve rooms, with names such as Prosecution, Mayor’s Office and Auditor’s Office, each contain a flat screen TV, a microwave, a small refrigerator and an en suite bathroom. There’s also an array of lovely antique stores, eateries, museums, art galleries and the Historic Homestake Opera House all located on Lead's Maine Street.
