Zan View Hotel took its first steps in 2010 when we bought the land. We had a dream of being able to sustain our life with the income of a small hotel and restaurant. So it went from choosing the design of the building, to starting the construction, finding the right building materials and so forth. We even opened a small workshop to be able to produce our furniture as well as doors, windows and other wood related works for the hotel. We also supported our community by making doors and windows for quite a few houses in the village. In this way we became very good friends with many of the locals.We believe that if we are growing, then they are growing too !! And vice versa.

When we opened in November 2014 the hotel industry was new to us, but as a traveler for many years , I have come to understand the needs and wishes of what I personally would like to have on my own holiday. Now one and half year later Zan View Hotel is in top 3 on tripadvisor for B&B in Zanzibar, so it inspired us to expand and improve. Welcome Home !!

Overlooking the Indian Ocean, Zan View Hotel is located in the village of Kairo in Kiwengwa. It features a garden, a restaurant, a bar and a 24-hour front desk.

The spacious rooms are equipped with local furnishings and offer sea and garden views. Each room has a shared terrace, shared outdoor furniture and mosquito nets.

The restaurant serves local cuisine and drinks and cocktails are offered at the bar.

An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including snorkeling, wind surfing, cycling, horse riding and fishing.

Zan View Hotel is about 45 minutes' drive from Zanzibar International Airport and transfers can be arranged for a surcharge.
