Thessaloniki is a great place for history. it has been a melting pot of different cultures. it has had its tragedies , a fire that destroyed much of the city just over a hundred years ago. There was the rounding up and transportation of Jews to Auchwitz and similar extermination camps. Three Empires ruled Thessalpniki in the past Rome , The Byzantine Empire and the Ottoman Empire. So much to see and do with great food at good prices . Above all very friendly people,

Great nightlife with lots of interesting bars and restaurants catering for all tastes and pockets. I'd recommend Gorillas and the Blue Cup for drinks, especially the cocktails.

Not much to do if you are staying for more than two or three days. There is some sightseeing, walking around, and very good dining options. its a good stopover point to go visit other areas of Greece though, close to the airport and ferry terminal.

Thessaloniki is a unique city in every respect.
Thessaloniki is a unique city in every respect. I recommend you to walk around the city completely and explore the cafes and restaurants. I recommend you to visit historical squares, architectural works and museums. Especially visit the war museum and the Olympic museum. The exterior of the archaeological museum can be seen free of charge. I think the fee requested for the Macedonian gold section is too high. Have dinner at the tavern (make a reservation). Be sure to try the grilled mushrooms.

Much underrated city that has so much to offer to those interested in culture and history. Late antique Roman sites and early Byzantine churches can match those in Rome, as can the excellent archaeological museum. Not suitable for beach holidays, though (only an unprotected promenade, not a beach), or for people with mobility issues (much walking in hot weather involved).
As far as shopping is concerned, this is second hand/vintage shopping heaven, with lots of shops (so-called "outlets") offering "collections" of imported second hand clothing from Europe at extremely cheap prices.
Also to be recommended is the excellent food. There are cafes with delicious cakes and outdoor sitting everywhere, as are restaurants with traditional Greek food at very reasonable prices, not to mention the street food at every corner.

We visited early April and the weather was fantastic!
We visited early April and the weather was fantastic! Lovely people and great inexpensive restaurants. We would recommend the hop on hop off bus and also the Kerkini Lake tour.
We stayed for 3 nights and managed to do most of the sights. Would definitely recommend Thessaloniki!
My husband and I liked this hotel very much. It is located in the heart of Thessaloniki. It is minutes away from Aristotelous Square, the Ladadika area, the bazaar and the waterfront promenade. Our hotel room spacious with beautiful windows and the balcony. Everything was very clean. There is a small elevator. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, offering to help us with anything we needed. We would return to this hotel.
This hotel was very convenient. It's right in the center of the city, and all the main attractions in Thessaloniki are within walking distance.
The staff at the hotel is very kind and helpful. The man at the desk called a taxi for us when we checked out. I also felt that the hotel was clean, safe, and a nice place to sleep.
There is a small lounge with free coffee, tea, and cookies. It was great to take a break there.

In one of the best parts of Thessaloniki. Keep in mind if you are late to checkin (after 18h) you have to pick up your key card form the "main" colors hotel which is very close (2 streets). The hotel is nice, clean, pet friendly, has everything that you need. Keep in mind it's in the busy part of the city, so closed windows, or street noise, that's
Everything! The stuff, the food, the hotel, the garden! I recommend this hotel for sure! One thing , which is not right in facilities in booking . PARKING! Parking is big, free and have too much space, even more, the consierge of the hotel is parking your car! In one word- hotel is amazing and I will stay here every time when I’m in Thessaloniki!
I wood rate this hotel as good for 4 stars- altough at a similar price there are 5 starts hotels in the area .The rooms were modern, but very small and with windows opening to walls....Also- the entire hotel had a weird ' oldish ' smell .I loved the a la carte breakfast which was indeed very nice and with quality products
We are visiting the hotel for second time and we are very satisfied. Top location in the city center of Thessaloniki, close by every attractions. Very clean room with very nice view from the terrace, beautiful bathroom and delicious breakfast. The staff is very polite, special greetings for Georgios from the restaurant.
Close but not in the city center. Easy ro reach other areas, like airport and Kalamaria. Hotel had some parking positions which was good considering the parking problem of Thessaloniki. Spacious room with design. Welcome bottles of water were provided.Very nice bar close to the hotel, at the folklore museum garden
The hotel is perfect for getting around due to great location no frills accommodation we wee 2 60 plussers well travelled and quite fit the beds were really low so may be an issue if you are not fit. All in all a really cheap hotel in the middle of the hotspots in Thessaloniki
Staff really helpful and friendly
A small hotel in the center of Thessaloniki. I don't know when it was built but it was clean and spotless like out of the box. A very spacious room for three with a spacious bathroom with all the amenities and the appliances working perfectly. Upon arrival they treat you with bottled water and a bottle of wine.
My biggest ratting goes to the owner who is generous, friendly and a nice host! Apartment is comfortable, clean, in a quiet street and has everything you need. I know that usually apartments and hotels get the ratings, but this time 5 stars goes to the owner! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hotel location is perfect. Staff was very helpful. Rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Additionally, they left some gifts for my son (shampoo, conditioner, slipper) to our room. If i come to thessaloniki again, i stay electra palace.
I am traveling for a year and mostly staying in budget hotels. For my birthday I treated myself on a 5 star hotel and a nice room. Absolutely liked it. staff was nice and professional and the bottle of wine (and some treats) were very appreciated.
The property looks very appealing from the outside! Inside is is also nice, but I wouldn’t give it 5 stars if I was comparing it to some of the 5 star hotels in Australia. The parking was convenient. The breakfast had a good variety.
Your hotel was so convenient for me and me and my family to everything…I loved it so much .Thessaloniki is so beautiful town and in one day we walked all around the the city center because the hotel was in the heart of the town
I were checking out at 5am and didn’t have breakfast because breakfast starting later, but receptionist prepared for me take away breakfast. I been in many 5 star hotels but never had this kind of service. Thank you
Amazing shower, extremely clean, wonderful staff, tasty food, valet parking and don’t even get me started on the view! It’s the most wonderful stay in Thessaloniki by far. A true 5 star hotel.
The hotel is perfectly located in the center of Thessaloniki. The staff were very helpful & friendly. The hotel is sparkling clean and the breakfast was also delicious.
