The GAIA Hotel was built in 1882 and is being run by the Family Geyer since 1929. Our motto "Come as a guest, leave as a friend" means taking care of every customer individually. We take our slogan seriously and look forward to welcoming you in Basel and in our property.

We made the choice of offering local and organic products in our property. This is our direct contribution for immediate well-being, happiness and the hopeful future of generations to come.

The family-run GAIA Hotel Basel can be found right across from Basel Main Train Station, only a 10-minute walk from the historic city centre. All rooms include a minibar which is refilled every second day and which can be used free of charge.

All food offered is exclusively organic, and most ingredients are sourced locally.
