Were told today by friends that The George had recently changed hands and that local feeling was the pub had gone donwhill. It was clean, bed comfortable, but we were not expecting to eat breakfast in our room and the food provided was very poor. We used to live in the village and were expecting better service.

Great location if you are in a car. Friendly staff. Comfortable. Good value. For the price don't expect perfection. Nicer than staying in central Bristol and the price difference more than covers lots of car parking. Good for visiting Tyntesfield, SS Great Britain, Clifton and Bristol. No food Sunday evening but there is a Subway not far away (closes 8.00pm Sunday)

We stayed at the Rising Sun as an overnight stop. We ate there and would recommend others to do the same. No particular dislikes, friendly welcome, smart accommodation cosy dining area. Good anti covid measures in place.

The George Hotel on the main road has amazing food - that is very reasonable, the staff are friendly and welcoming. The Covid measures are good as is the cleaning. Looks a little grubby from the main road but is beautiful at the entrance court yard around the back and lovely inside.JoUnited Kingdom

The accommodation was superb and he seems to have thought of everything you might need. The welcome goodies he had left for us were a nice touch. The place is extremely confortable and designed to ensure comfort at any season. It was important that we had easy access to the accommodation and warmth for my 93 year old mother. Dino was the perfect host and was on hand for any queries. He also texted to check we had a safe journey home. The mobile was warm, clean and comfortable on arrival after a long journey.
