In 1928 goldsmith Jaakko Emil Vehmas had a stately stone building constructed which Mauno Forselius designed and built. Today the same building stands on the corner of Yliopistonkatu and Kansakoulukatu and is better known as Hotel Yöpuu and Restaurant Pöllöwaari. The building was renovated into a hotel with 26 rooms in 1988 and since then the high quality, remarkable service and the warm atmosphere have been the key things in our business.

Boutique Hotel Yöpuu is housed in a 1920s building in central Jyväskylä, 500 metres from Jyväskylä Station. It features a gourmet restaurant, wine bar, as well as free WiFi.

The individually designed guest rooms at Yöpuu Hotel include a minibar and a TV. Guests are provided a welcome drink upon arrival, either in the cosy wine bar or on it's courtyard.

Restaurant Pöllöwaari is a member of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs international gastronomic society and serves seasonal dishes based on fresh ingredients. In addition, guests can choose from a large selection of vintage wines from all over the world.

Boutique Hotel Yöpuu’s central location provides easy access to museums, restaurants and culture. Attractions such as the award-winning pedestrian street and the many buildings designed by Alvar Aalto are within walking distance.
