The staff were so so helpful, we had a really early check out the next morning before breakfast began so they made us up a takeaway breakfast which was so thoughtful. The Eucalyptus Hotel is located approximately two and a half miles from the airport and two and a half miles from Fira, the capital of Santorini. To use the public transportation, for most bus routes you have to first travel to Fira and take a bus from the Central Bus Station (except for a couple of routes that take in the southern part of the island and the airport bus). The bus stops in Mesaria are very close to the hotel. There are several restaurants close to the hotel and a supermarket which stays open until midnight is right across the street. The rooms in the hotel are spacious and the beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. I did not participate in breakfast, so I can't comment on that. The manager was very helpful with information on tours and booking what I wanted to do. Santorini is daily inundated with cruise ship visitors who totally overpower the island, especially during the high season--middle May until around the end of September. Mesaria is far enough from Fira and is not the home of any of the "must sees" on Santorini that the day crowds do not typically come to this village. I highly recommend this property and if/when I return to Santorini, I will definitely stay here again.

The rooms are gorgeous. But they can keep coffee sachets in the room. Family run hotel. The owner gave us a lot of information when we reached. Really helpful. We had to checkout early after two days for our flight so they gave us packed breakfast for next day which was very sweet. Only thing bread should have been buttered a bit.
