Nicely renovated rooms in an historic hotel in the center of town. The room was spacious and light filled with large windows that opened. Management prepared our room for early afternoon arrival as we had traveled a long distance and needed to sleep. Bed linens were top quality. Thé Brasserie was truely Divine !

I stayed in Roanne for a couple of days to see the town but...
I stayed in Roanne for a couple of days to see the town but also to see some of the sights in the surrounding Roannais area, This is the middle of France with many different kinds of scenery, from mountains to river gorges and with lots of history to see that is part of everyday life for people who live in this area. Roanne is a good base for a leisurely touring holiday as well as for a cycling or walking holiday.

I can’t tell you anything about the city I stopped to go to sleep on a long motorway trip I get out at a restaurant round the corner the staff are very friendly the people sat at the restaurant were friendly it felt fine

Close to a main road, so a bit noisy (odd rooms numbers facing the road and car washing, even numbers are facing parking area). It is possible to eat in the hotel, but I didn't try the restaurant
