Cagnes-sur- Mer is a thriving hub about 4 miles from Nice with train and bus connections to all the surrounding resorts and hill towns in the area. There are plenty of shops for food, a market and lots of restaurants. a free shuttle bus is available to take you to the hill village of Haut Cagnes, well worth a visit and there is also a free bus to the beach although lots of the local buses serve the beach too as well as it having its own station Cros de Cagnes. A ten minute walk brings you to the station.

It is a town which combines the promenade ( tourist area ) and a working town with lots of shops, market and bus and train stations. The town provided easy access to Vence and Nice. Those interested in Art and History will be delighted with Renoir’s house and the Grimaldi Palace in Cagnes-sur-Mer. The Matisse Chapel ( Vence ) and lots of musee in Nice. All within 30 minutes by bus or train.

We loved this apartment and our stay in Cagnes-sur-Mer.
We loved this apartment and our stay in Cagnes-sur-Mer. Fabienne is so kind and helpful.
A minus is the noise from traffic and the airplanes, when the windows are open. The apartment is quiet when they are closed.
Walking in C-s-M is easy and the beaches are very easy to reach, though the markets are pretty far away and you have to take a bus there. The buses are always awful crowded.

This village, although fairly developed, was quiet and less expensive to eat and drink out than Nice, Cannes and other locations nearby. However, prices are high generally on the French Riviera.
There is a market once a week that was very nice, with a fair amount of local produce, and the atmosphere was great.
We found all the bars and restaurants well apointed, and provided a good choice.
There are many buses passing through the village, but again information on how to use the various routes was hard to find. Travel cards can be bought locally for €10 which give 10 single rides on the buses or trams - which is a must! One ride for any distance.

Town is near see .
Town is near see . The biggest shopping mall in Azzure Coast - Poligon reviera located in the town. The Azzure Coast Hypodrom is also located in the town . There are a lot cafes and restaurants. The last house of famous painter Renuar is located also here .
Host is very nice and polite. Appartment is big in the building with garage. We stayed with 2 kids. Everything is perfect. Beach is very close, no need to stay all day on it. You can swim and go to appartment and come back later when is not hot. If you like to run in the morning or late night or drive bike there is 10km and more long track for it , from nica to cannes, outside beach. Restaurants, big market etc are near, 2 min away.
The room was really nice, upgraded by the hotel. Each room was named by an artist. Private entrance.
Big windows, seaside view, mountain view and city view...
Sofa, table and chair by the windows.. Books (Hemingway, Camus etc.) in the room. Good pillows, best beds.
Best value for the money. Absolutely lovely chateau hotel.
We want to come here again.
Staff was so helpfull with everything. Our thanks for the valet.
Lovely family hotel that offers very clean and comfortable rooms. Compared to similarly priced offerings in Nice I found this hotel to be much nicer (bigger rooms, cleaner, better maintained).
The location is still convenient with the Cagnes-sur-mer train station, essential shops (supermarket, pharmacy, gas station), beaches, and several restaurants all within walking distance.
The breakfast was very good with a wide variety of food items to choose from.
The room was super spacious and very clean. The bed linen was clean and fresh.
The bathroom was my favorite space, complimented with clean and super-white towels and a bathrobe. The shower was huge and the water was extremely generous.
The overall hotel environment was modern and very well-kept.
Our usage of the appartment was not the most common as we only slept one night and it was just fair to do that. The beds were fine and the shower too, despite some signs of old age. The location is also good, close to city center and restaurants and not so far away from the beach too. It was possible to check-in late with a code and a locker with the key.
+:
Nice place/area, very kind staff, helpful and speaks English.
The hotel is situated on a busy road which is not disturbing due to good sealings.
o:
The room is ok and mostly clean, for some countries like Germany, Norway, and Denmark this room would not pass the checks.
(Still way-way better than anything I experienced in the UK :) )
The hotel was very comfortable and clean and right by the beach for an early morning swim. The staff were exceptionally helpful: I was given a lift with a heavy suitcase to the bus stop when I left, and was also given help with the suitcase on arrival. Thank you.
The general style and feel of the hotel is very comfortable. Furthermore, the staff is exceptionally friendly. They recommend really good places around town. The pool is also a really nice addition and the breakfast is quite good.
Such a great location. Convenient to restaurants, the beach, and shopping. The staff was wonderful, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was great. Bed was comfy and plenty of space for the four of us in the room.
Absolutely amazing location at a medieval village/chateau, high above, only 10 min from center of Nice. Gorgeous rooms and suites, very friendly and helpful staff, exceedingly comfortable stay. A++.
It's like a normal apartment with facilities to live in. All cooking goods, towels, amenities… etc
But the service was a hotel. So nice hybrid style for us. I'd like to stay longer there!
We didn't have breakfast but the location was superb. The hotel is situated right at the top of the old part of Cagnes sur Mer with delightful cobbled streets and great restaurants.
New, clean and comfortable 4 * hotel. Easy distance to airport.
Nice view of mountain and castle from 4th floor room.
Good lap pool on 5th floor roof terrace
Easy acess to beaches. Short walk 15 minutes from Cros de Cagnes train station. Several good restaurants 5 minute walk. Nice & plentiful buffet breakfast.
