Castello d'Empuries has that lovely old world charm and can be enjoyed simply by wandering around the narrow streets and the many squares containing an abundance of Restaurants and Bars. It also has has very good public transport links to Figueres or out to the coastal resorts.

A great place to explore with nice Bars, Food and activities in a real Village that hasnt been exploited by mass tourism, had a brilliant time, and even the teenagers liked it. A nice little Pitch and Putt, Boats for Hire, lovely architecture and perfect location for exploring the coast. 5 Stars, but dont tell everyone....

Breakfast was buffet style served on the roof top , with a fantastic view. We ate twice in the hotel restaurant and were very pleased with the food. It boasted a lovely outdoor eating area . It was in easy walking distance of several bars and restaurants. There was a lovely private pool near the hotel. The breathtaking bay of Roses was only a 10 minute drive. So a perfect stay in an excellent location.

The hotel is as beautiful and nice as the pictures show, and it’s very comfortable. The staff works very hard to make the stay a wonderful one, and they make it happen! They are always smiling and willing to support. Room is 10/10, breakfast is delicious and the pool is small but very nice! The highlight is definitely the garden bar at night! It’s really magical!
