The first building that stood where Clarion Collection Hotel Oleana stands today was built in 1875. This was the luxury hotel Holdts Hotel. This hotel unfortunately burned down in the Bergen city fire of 1916. New buildings were made (that still stands to this date) I 1926 and 1927. In these buildings there have been stores on the ground floor, and offices and apartments on the other six floors. The 6th and the 7th floor, which is today where some of the hotels nicest rooms are, were only a couple of years ago a crude loft.
Landlords Ole Jan and Mie Strønen have made a hotel with Ole Bull as a main concept. This is made obvious through the many art pieces you can see throughout the hotel. The names of the suites and junior suites are chosen to represent different aspects of Ole Bull and his exciting life.
Located only 800 metres from Bergen train station, Hotel Oleana is located in Central Bergen. This classic building is refurbished with modern and elegant design. Restaurants, cafés and boutiques are found just around the corner along the pedestrian square.
Each room will provide you with a desk, hairdryer and private bathroom with shower or bath. Free WiFi and coffee are available to guests.
